Job Description

Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale.
Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails.
Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business.
Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries.
Acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets.
Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales.
Gathering market and customer information.
Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy.
Advising on forthcoming projects and discussing special promotions.
Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
Gaining a clear understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements.
Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations.
Attending team meeting and sharing best practice with colleagues.
Develop network and maintain relationships with clients.
Overcome client resistance/objections to products and educate them about the current operational processes.
Effective communication
Pleasing personality & good communication skills.
High level of confidence


Have a bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training.
Prior sales experience and previous supervisory experience in a construction organization preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.
Ability to effectively present information.
Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.
Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles.
Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
Solid experience using sales database systems, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), Outlook, social media, internet.
Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines.
Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines.
Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
